Buying an Evaluated Bull
Selecting a herd sire is an important genetic investment. Bulls offered through the MCA-MSU Bull Evaluation Sale have been extensively evaluated, and only those meeting all program requirements are eligible to sell.
By sale time, buyers have access to information including EPDs and genomic results, growth performance, individual feed intake and feed efficiency, carcass ultrasound measurements, breeding soundness results, foot scores, frame size, pedigree, and breeder information.
We also make it easy to evaluate and purchase bulls:
  • Attend the Open House two weeks before the sale to view the bulls in person, or contact us to arrange another time.
  • Review the sale catalog, performance reports, and bull videos as they become available.
  • Bid in person or online on sale day.
  • Contact us if you need assistance with trucking or extended boarding.
The goal is not simply to provide more data, but to provide the information you need to select a bull that fits and moves your herd forward!
