Beginning in 2018-19, there is a requirement for DNA analysis to add sire parentage and genomically enhanced expected progeny difference (EPD) information. Bulls must have this testing submitted and completed through their respective breed association prior to delivery. Please plan ahead, as DNA results may take up to 5 weeks after the sample has been received by the laboratory. The test may be an ultra-low (GGP uLD), low (i50K), high (HD 50K, GGP 50K), or very high (GGP HD150K) density test, as long as the test minimally verifies sire parentage and generates genomically enhanced EPDs for the bull.
